In this session we will present a first technical draft that describes the main categories of modeling identified and agreed standards for different levels of data comprehensiveness–corresponding to the degree of sophistication of modeling objectives. The objective is to achieve an agreement about the experimental parameters needed that are realistic for researchers, permitting modeling to be performed at different levels of sophistication, while making far more of the crop data sets collected by researchers worldwide model friendly. The results from this exercise will be captured as a recommendations report that will be published and shared among CGIAR centers and collaborators .
