There are a number of mature use cases for machine learning applications in agriculture that need to be promoted and better understood. At the same time, systems theory tells us that maximizing one factor of a complex system can make systems more fragile. How can we claim and scale the benefits of AI while safeguarding against the failure of whole ecologies?
